Dr. Somaskandan Rajendran is a dedicated emergency and critical care physician with a strong academic background and a focused interest in acute care medicine, patient safety, and quality improvement. He is known for his disciplined clinical approach, strict adherence to evidence-based practices, and unwavering commitment to delivering high standards of medical care.
About Dr. Somaskandan Rajendran
- ✓ He holds an MBBS degree and a Master’s in Emergency Medicine, along with additional professional qualifications including C.DIAB and FACEE in Toxicology from the American College of Emergency Experts. These credentials reflect his specialized training and academic orientation in emergency medicine and toxicology.
- ✓ Dr. Somaskandan is a certified instructor in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and is an American Heart Association–certified instructor and provider. His professional focus includes emergency resuscitation, structured emergency care protocols, and the promotion of standardized life-support training among healthcare professionals.
- ✓ In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he is actively involved in medical education and academic training. He serves as faculty for undergraduate medical education, nursing programs, and allied health sciences, and contributes to postgraduate emergency medicine teaching and professional development initiatives.
- ✓ He maintains active membership in several national and international professional organizations, including the Society for Emergency Medicine, India; the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations; the American College of Cardiology (International Associate Member); the International Federation for Emergency Medicine; the Emergency Medicine Association; and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
